Compliance checks by Wareham Police lead to charges against three businesses/individuals

WAREHAM – From Wareham Police: “On Thursday, August 9, Wareham Police Detectives conducted a compliance check of pouring establishments, with regard to the sale of liquor to minors. Over 40 restaurants, bars, and clubs were checked and three of the locations failed. As is the policy of the Wareham Police, not only is the business being dealt with administratively, the actual person who sold the liquor is being criminally charged.

The following individuals are being summoned to Wareham District Court for the charge, selling liquor to a person under 21.

  • Jackielyn Lima, 23, of Onset – Stonebridge Bistro, 5 East Boulevard, Onset.

  • Karen Moore, 46, of Middleborough – Americana Café, 208r Main Street.

  • Amanda Wigmore, 41, of Foxboro – Bay Pointe Clubhouse”
