COVID-19 update 8/01/20: State death toll tops 8,400

CAPE COD – Saturday’s Mass DPH report showed 17 new deaths from COVID-19 in Massachusetts since Friday’s report bringing the state total to 8,406. None of the latest deaths were from Barnstable County where the death toll is 156. Ten new cases of COVID-19 were reported in Barnstable County since Friday’s report.

Hospitalization:
Cape Cod Hospital – 2 hospitalized, 1 in intensive care.
Falmouth Hospital – none.
