Updated: Crash with serious injury closes Route 6 in Eastham

EASTHAM
– Eastham Police report that on Friday at approximately 11:01 a.m., they responded to the area of Route 6 at Arnold’s Clam Shack for a report of a motor vehicle crash.

Upon arrival Eastham Officers observed a grey Nissan Rogue resting against the “Adventure Golf” sign located in front of Arnold’s Restaurant. An Eastham officer was immediately flagged down and advised that there was a female party with serious injuries laying on the ground next to the Nissan. The second vehicle, a Toyota Camry which sustained heavy front end damage, had come to rest in the southbound passing lane.

Route 6 was shut down in both directions, and detours were constructed while the scene was being processed. The female operator of the Nissan Rogue, and all three occupants of the Toyota Camry, were transported to Cape Cod Hospital fur further evaluation. The Wellfleet Police Department, Eastham Fire Department, Orleans Fire Department, and Brewster Fire Department assisted at the scene.

At this time the accident is still under investigation by the Cape Cod Regional Accident Reconstruction Team.
