UPDATED: Crash closes Route 6A in Brewster

BREWSTER – Brewster Police report that on Monday at 3:49 PM, they were dispatched to the intersection of Linnell Landing and Main Street by Cobie’s for a reported head on motor vehicle collision with multiple injuries. An Orleans Fire Department ambulance along with Orleans Deputy Deering were also dispatched on the line box assignment for the reported injuries. Brewster Ambulance 243 arrived on scene and confirmed a three car head-on motor vehicle accident with three patients.

Brewster Deputy Chief Kevin Varley (Car 232) arrived and assumed command immediately requesting a full department recall for additional staff and ambulances. Chief Moran (Car 231) arrived and command was transferred from the Deputy Chief. Personnel from Squad 241, Ambulance 243, and the Orleans ambulance began to triage and treat the occupants all of whom had injuries that were not life-threatening. Brewster Ambulance 242 arrived with off duty staff members to assist with treatment and transport. All three patients were transported to Cape Cod Hospital. Main Street was closed for the duration of the incident. The accident remains under investigation by the Brewster Police Department.
