Dennis and Yarmouth PDs arrest alleged fentanyl dealers

WEST DENNIS – Yarmouth Police report that 0n Friday at approximately 6 PM, their Detectives and Proactive Anti-Crime Unit Officers, K9 Drug Detection Unit, and Dennis Police Detectives executed a search warrant at 428 Main Street, Apartment 1-2, West Dennis, Massachusetts based on an investigation involving the Yarmouth and Dennis Police Department regarding the distribution of addictive, deadly, and dangerous drugs to residents in both communities.

Heroin Fentanyl and over $9,600 in cash made through illegal drug sales were seized.

Jeffrey Michael Laurie, 28, of West Dennis—who is convicted felon and convicted drug dealer—and Amanda J. Shewan, 26, of Dennis are well known to Cape Cod Law Enforcement as well as other Cape Cod area illegal drug dealers and users were placed under arrest and transported to Yarmouth Police Department Headquarters.

Laurie was charged with possession of a Class A substance (heroin fentanyl)(subsequent offense), and conspiracy to violate the controlled substance act. Shewan was charged with possession of a Class A substance (heroin fentanyl) and conspiracy to violate the controlled substance act.

Laurie’s bail was set at $1,000 by the Bail Commissioner and Shewan’s Bail was set at Personal Recognizance. Later in the evening, Laurie paid his $1,000 bail and the $40 fee and Shewan paid her $40 bail fee. Both were released from custody and are scheduled for arraignment Monday.
