Dennis PD hosted impaired-driving enforcement training

DENNIS – The Dennis Police Department recently hosted an Advanced Roadside Impaired Driving Enforcement (ARIDE) class for Cape police officers. The class, taught by Dennis Police Sergeants Richard Troy and Cleve Daniels, provided additional training to officers in the detection, arrest and prosecution of motorists operating under the influence of alcohol, drugs or a combination of both.

Twenty-five officers from across the Cape, including six from Dennis, attended the two-day program co-sponsored by the Massachusetts Municipal Police Training Committee, the International Chiefs of Police and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
