HARWICH – Hazardous Materials crews were called to Harwich shortly after 5:30 PM. Initial reports said there had been a mercury spill on Hall’s Path. CWN has learned a mother was about to take her child’s temperature and accidentally dropped the thermometer causing the mercury liquid inside to spill out. The Hazmat team was able to clean up the mercury from the floor and no one was injured.
