Developing: HazMat crews called to Sandwich waste company

SANDWICH – State Hazardous Materials technicians were called to Sandwich early Monday afternoon. The scene was at New Bedford Waste Services on the Service Road. It was not immediately clear what the situation was. By about 1:30 PM the situation appeared to be under control.

In June 2014, a 5-alarm fire ripped through a large metal clad recycling building at the same location.
