New details: Two arrested after fatal shooting in Hyannis overnight

– (with CCB) Barnstable Police Chief Paul MacDonald, and Cape and Islands District Attorney Michael O’Keefe announced today that at 2:00 a.m. in the Washington Avenue Extension area of Hyannis, David Anthony Colon, 19, of Hyannis, was shot while in a car during an apparent marijuana drug sale. Others in the car drove Colon to Cape Cod Hospital where he was pronounced dead at approximately 10:50 a.m.

walkerkyle1Friday afternoon, the Cape and Islands District Attorney’s Office confirmed that 24-year old Kyle Jeffrey Walker of South Yarmouth and 19-year-old Keven Seme of Brockton were arrested in the parking lot of the International Inn on Main Street Hyannis after entering a car driven by two 17-year-old girls. (Walker is seen at right in a YPD mugshot stemming from a March 2015 arrest on heroin charges). CWN archives show he was arrested in Hyannis in December 2012 for illegal possession of a firearm and being an armed career criminal. He also faced an an assault with a dangerous weapon charge (knife) in 2010.

Walker and Seme are being charged with murder and were expected to be arraigned Friday in Barnstable District Court.

The shooting is under investigation by Barnstable Police and State Police Detectives assigned to the District Attorney’s Office.
