HARWICH – Harwich Police report that Queen Anne Road is closed in front of the Transfer Station due to a ruptured gas main. A construction crew struck the main just before 8:30 AM. There is no access to the Transfer Station at this time. Avoid the area until further notice. Harwich Fire evacuated businesses in the area. National Grid was called to the scene and was able to get the gas shut off a short time later. By 9 AM the road was reopening.
