Two children rescued from pond near Hyannis school after falling through ice

HYANNIS – Two children were reportedly pulled from a pond behind the Hyannis Intermediate School on Falmouth Road (Route 28) around 2:45 PM. The two were wet but in stable condition and were taken by ambulance to Cape Cod Hospital for evaluation. The two had apparently ventured onto thin ice and fell through. Officials are warning any ice is not safe to be on.
