DENNIS – Downed primary electric lines knocked out power to about 1,700 Eversource customers overnight. The lines went down in Dennis along Route 134 at Theophilus F. Smith Road around 2:30 a.m. affecting customers in Yarmouth and Harwich as well. Lineman were able to quickly reduce the outage to about 100 customers and were working to repair the damage. It was raining at the time but it is unclear if weather played a factor. Dennis Police blocked off the area and rerouted traffic.
