ORLEANS – Downed wires along Tonset Road at main Street knocked out power to over 500 Eversource customers around 5:30 PM Monday. The wires sparked a small brush fire on the side of the road. Traffic was being rerouted around the scene as Eversource technicians arrived to make repairs. Orleans Police reported a transformer had blown as well.
