Driver airlifted after Wareham crash


WAREHAMFrom Wareham Fire: Thursday evening, the Wareham Fire Department responded to a report of a single motor vehicle accident on Barker Road.

Upon arrival, crews located the vehicle on its side in a small ravine with the driver still inside. Multiple fire department members cut through the windshield to gain access to the driver and were able to successfully remove her from the vehicle.

Medflight was called and a landing zone was set up nearby for them to land. There was a ferret recovered uninjured and is safe in the hands of the Animal Control Officer.
