FALMOUTH – From Falmouth Police: This afternoon a car was found on the Shining Sea Bikeway. The operator said the GPS directed them onto the bikeway. A bad day for the bikeway.
Meanwhile in a separate incident, police also reported that the Shining Sea Bikeway at the Nobska Road bridge crossing is closed due to bridge damage. An over-height truck struck and damaged the bridge at about 10:43 am today. Bicycles and pedestrians on the bikeway will be detoured as a result.
