ORLEANS – A driver was critically injured in a head-on crash in Orleans Thursday afternoon. The crash happened on South Orleans Road (Route 28) by the Christmas Tree Shops. A Nissan Altima and Ford Ranger pickup collided. The driver of the Nissan was rushed to Cape Cod Hospital with potentially life-threatening injuries. Orleans Police called for crash reconstruction as part of the investigation. It was not immediately clear if the storm played a role.
