CHATHAM – A pickup truck plunged into the water off the Chatham Fish Pier Wednesday morning. The driver was able to extricate himself and swim to safety. A heavy duty wrecker was called to pull the vehicle out of the water. Chatham Police are investigating if a mechanical problem caused the crash.
