On Wednesday, November 23, 2016 at 00:36 a.m., Chatham Police and Fire/Rescue responded to a motor vehicle crash in the area of 346 Sam Ryder Road. The crash involved one vehicle, a 2016 Honda Civic, and the vehicle’s operator. The vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree.
The vehicle’s operator was identified as: Clarence Crowell IV, age 22, from Chatham.
Mr. Crowell suffered serious injuries and was transported to Beth Israel Hospital in Boston by Med Flight Helicopter.

Operating Under the Influence of Alcohol
Operating a Motor Vehicle to Endanger
Marked Lanes Violation
The Barnstable County Sheriff’s Department also assisted in this investigation.
