UPDATED: Driver seriously injured in rollover in Provincetown

PROVINCETOWN – A single car rollover crash injured a 82-year-old woman Wednesday night just before 9 PM near the intersection of Provincelands Road and Bradford Street Extension.

The driver from Connecticut became disoriented the vehicle left the paved road and struck the guardrail and flipped over. Provincetown Fire stabilized the vehicle and completed the extrication of the victim at the scene. The victim was taken to Provincetown Municipal Airport to meet a MedFlight helicopter for transport to a Boston hospital.

The crash is under investigation by Provincetown Police Officers Joe D’Andrea and Sarah Harding.

There are no charges pending at this time.

Police believe a medical episode may been factor in the crash.
