Video: Driver trapped after high speed crash in Harwich

HARWICH – Firefighters had to use to Jaws of Life to free the driver of a car that crashed at high speed in Harwich shortly after 10 PM Monday. Harwich Police reportedly tried to stop a car on Long Pond Drive but the driver allegedly took off. As speeds increased police reportedly terminated the pursuit. A short time later an officer discovered the Ford Taurus station wagon crashed into a tree by Fernandes Bog Beach. MedFlight was not available due to weather so the victim was rushed to Cape Cod Hospital. The Cape Cod Regional Law Enforcement Council crash reconstruction team is investigating the crash
