HARWICH – At about 8:15 PM, Harwich Police and Fire-Rescue responded to a report of a 2 vehicle accident with one car on it’s side, parties trapped with possible injuries. Upon arrival of rescuers it appeared a Toyota Sienna minivan collided with a Ford Escape causing the Escape to roll on its side. One person was trapped in the rolled over vehicle and had to be extricated by Harwich Firefighters. Both parties were evaluated, treated and transported to CCH by Harwich Ambulances with unknown injuries. Main Street and Oak Street were shut down in both directions by Harwich PD in front of the Brooks Free Library and Park, until the scene could be cleared. The accident is under investigation of Harwich Police.
