BRIDGEWATER – From Mass State Police: Saturday afternoon, Massachusetts State Police troopers arrested a 36-year-old East Falmouth woman after an investigation indicated that she physically assaulted another person, a 32-year-old female from Saugus, with a knife.
The victim was transported by Bridgewater EMS to Good Samaritan Hospital for treatment of her injuries.
A BOLO (Be on the Look Out) alert for the suspect vehicle was broadcast to area patrols. A short time later, the suspect was located and arrested at the Red Fox Inn on Route 1 in Foxborough. The suspect was transported to the State Police-Middleboro Barracks, where she was booked. At this time, the suspect is charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon and Assault and Battery on a Family or Household Member, 2nd Offense. The investigation is ongoing and additional charges may be forthcoming.
The suspect is not being identified per a state law that prohibits the release of names of domestic violence suspects.
