Eastham crews respond to gas main break, downed wire

EASTHAM – A gas main was struck in Eastham shortly after 7:30 AM. The incident happened on North Sunken Meadow Road. Fire crews blocked off the area until National Grid could arrive and shut off the gas. No injuries were reported.

A short time later, a utility wire was reported down on Route 6 at Hay Road. One lane was blocked until crews could arrive. Motorists were advised of delays in the area.
