Eastham– On December 12th, at 9:15 am an Eastham Police Officer was approached by a motorist travelling on Route 6 through Eastham. The motorist was seeking assistance with an on board passenger. The passenger had departed his assigned seat, and the driver needed physical assistance in returning said passenger to his/her proper seat. The passenger was identified as a cold-stunned Logger Head Turtle. The Turtle was being transported to a medical facility for treatment, and after being returned to his seat, the Turtle was on his way at 40 mph through Eastham.
