Falmouth Police hold awards, recognition and swearing-in ceremony

FALMOUTH – On Wednesday, Falmouth Police held a ceremony for swearing in a new officer and presenting awards and recognition:

Newly Hired Police Officer Sworn-in: Officer Paul Whiting

Certificate of Recognition: Alexis Atwood, Internship with the Falmouth Police Dept.

Commitment Recognition: School Resource Officer Jamie Donahue, for her continued commitment to the community: Stuff-A-Cruiser and Hidden in Plain Sight Presentation.

Exceptional Investigators Award: Detective Ronald Carpenter, Detective Christopher Bartolomei, Detective Andrew Loewen, and Detective David Massi.

Lifesaving Award: Officer James B. Rogers, for aiding a person involved in a chain saw accident.

Lifesaving Award: Sergeant Michael C. Rogers and John Stalcup (citizen), for a water rescue at Great Pond.

Officer of the Year: Detective Andrew Loewen

Retirement Plaque/Badge: Officer Norman Adamson (retired), for service between May 5th, 1986 through December 9th, 2017
