Falmouth Police release new details in fatal crash Wednesday

FALMOUTH
– Falmouth Police report that a preliminary investigation has revealed that a 2001 BMW, traveling west on Route 151 towards North Falmouth, attempted to turn left onto Sam Turner Road in front of a 2006 Ford F-350 pickup traveling east on Route 151 towards Mashpee and a collision occurred.

The operator of the 2001 BMW has been identified as 62-year-old Marc A. Mardirosian of North Falmouth and the passenger as 70-year-old Roger S. Hoar of North Falmouth. Unfortunately, Hoar died due to injuries sustained during the crash. Mardirosian, the operator, was transported in critical condition via MedFlight to Rhode Island Hospital in Providence.

The operator of the 2006 Ford F-350 pickup was 41-year-old Christopher Anglin. Anglin and his 37-year-old passenger sustained injuries that were not life-threatening during the crash and were transported to Falmouth Hospital. Both were treated and released.

The crash remains under investigation by the Falmouth Police and the Massachusetts State Police State Police Collision Analysis & Reconstruction Section.
