Falmouth woman facing numerous charges after Bourne chase

BOURNE – Bourne Police report that at approximately 8:44 p.m., Ptl. Economides initiated a motor vehicle stop on Clay Pond Road for an expired inspection sticker. The vehicle, a 1999 Ford Taurus wagon, failed to stop for the officer. The vehicle continued driving on Clay Pond Road and turned south on County Road. At the intersection of County Road and Barlows Landing Road, the vehicle stopped briefly and two male passengers exited the vehicle and surrendered to the officer. The vehicle then continued South on County Road while Ptl. Economides detained the two males.

Ptl. Alldredge deployed a tire deflation device in the area of the Daily Brew Coffee House on Route 28A. The tire deflation device successfully punctured the right front tire. The vehicle continued south on Route 28A into Falmouth with Ptl. Alldredge and Sgt. Mulligan following. The vehicle them turned onto Route 151 and continued to Sandwich Road and the vehicle eventually came to a stop in the aggregate pit off of Blacksmith Shop Road.

The female driver reportedly attempted to run from the vehicle and was stopped and placed under arrest by Ptl. Alldredge. The female, Kristin Sullivan, 30, of Falmouth is being held on two outstanding warrants and is facing numerous motor vehicle charges as well as resisting arrest and assault and battery on a police officer. Speeds during the pursuit were at or near the speed limit.

The two male passengers were released and have no charges against them. The Bourne Police were assisted by the Falmouth Police Department, Barnstable County Sheriff’s Department and an officer from the Falmouth Natural Resources Department.
