FORESTDALE – Fire broke out in a home in the Forestdale section of Sandwich around 11:15 PM Friday evening. Firefighters responded to 22 Dogwood Drive to find smoke showing. The fire appeared to be in the basement. All occupants were able to evacuate and no injuries were reported. Crews were able to quickly get the flames under control. The cause of the fire is under investigation. The Red Cross is providing temporary shelter for the displaced residents.
