CENTERVILLE – Thursday morning’s fire at 48 Priscilla Street has been ruled arson. Barnstable Police arrested Jason Machado, 28, of Hyannis, charging him with burning a dweling. He was arraigned in Barnstable District Court and ordered held pending a dangerousness hearing.
Previous story: Fire caused extensive damage to a home in Centerville Thursday morning. Centerville-Osterville-Marstons Mills Firefighters were called to 48 Priscilla Street sometime after 8:30 a.m. A fire had apparently started outside and spread to the rear of the house. No injuries were reported. Mutual aid was called to the scene and to cover empty fire stations. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
