Fire causes extensive damage to Mashpee home

MASHPEE – Fire caused extensive damage to a Mashpee home Tuesday afternoon. Firefighters responding to the 1 PM alarm arrived to find flames visible on the second floor of the residence at 86 Quinaquisset Avenue. All occupants escaped safely and no injuries were reported. Crews were able to quickly knock down the flames. The cause of the fire is under investigation. The Red Cross is providing temporary shelter for the displaced occupants.
