WELLFLEET – Firefighters quickly doused a basement fire in Wellfleet Sunday evening. The call at 60 Old Mill Way came in about 9 p.m. The homeowner had knocked down most of the fire but fire crews had to work on a couple of hot spots in a wall. They also had to ventilate heavy smoke from the house. Everyone made it out safely and no injuries were reported. The exact cause of the fire was not immediately clear.
