CENTERVILLE – Centerville-Osterville-Marstons Mills (COMM) Fire Department responded to a reported structure fire at 95 Thistle Drive Friday evening and upon arrival of the first engine heavy smoke was found coming from the front of a ranch style home. Fire was also showing through a hole in the roof. The home occupant met the firefighters and reported no one else was inside the house. Firefighters knocked the fire down quickly, completed a search of the home, and extinguished hot spots in the attic. Fire damage was contained to the living room area and attic with heat and smoke damage through the house.
A COMM Fire investigator was called the scene, the fire was determined to be accidental with the specific cause under investigation. There were no injuries to occupants or firefighters.

It could not immediately be confirmed if the fire may have been related to the power outage CWN reported on earlier in the evening.
