PROVINCETOWN – Fire was reported on the roof of Lands End Inn at 22 Commercial Street in the West End sometime before 1 PM Monday. Fire Chief Michael Trovato says crews were able to make a quick knockdown of the fire. He added the fire was contained to the shingles and did not get inside the large inn on a hilltop in the far West End. Officials believe an ember from the chimney sparked the fire.
