ORLEANS – Orleans Firefighters worked quickly in the bitter cold to extinguished a growing fire on the roof in front of Orleans Wine and Spirits in the Skaket Corners shopping plaza on West Road Friday evening. Crews arrived quickly and distinguished the fire preventing any additional damage to the building. Orleans Police provided traffic and crowd control. The fire apparently started in a light fixture and spread to the roof of the plaza. Employees of one of the businesses spotted the flames and called 911.
