MASHPEE – Firefighters used the Jaws of Life to free an occupant after a two-vehicle crash in Mashpee shortly before 3:30 PM Tuesday afternoon. A Hyundai Santa Fe appeared to have collided with a Saab sedan. The crash happened on Nathan Ellis Highway (Route 151) at Algonquin Avenue. MedFlight was not available due to weather so the most seriously injured victim was taken to South Shore Hospital trauma center in Weymouth. A second victim was taken to Cape Cod Hospital. The crash is under investigation by Mashpee Police.
