In the earlier crash (lower photo) Brewster fire reports that at 7:16 a.m. they were dispatched to the intersection of Millstone Road and Pilgrim Way for a reported head on motor vehicle crash with a vehicle on fire. Orleans Ambulance 172 was also dispatched on an automatic aid line box assignment. Brewster Engine 234 and Ambulance 244 under the direction of Captain Anthony Dalmau responded from headquarters along wih Car 231 (Chief Moran). Brewster Car 232
(Deputy Chief Varley) and Orleans Car 179 (Deputy Chief Deering) also responded to the scene.

Upon arrival Chief Moran reported a two car crash with major front end damage with four patients all self-extricated from their vehicles lying in the roadway. No vehicle was found to be involved in fire. The Brewster engine and ambulance crews arrived and personnel quickly evaluated the injured patients. As a result it was determined that all four would require transportation to the hospital with varying non-life threatening injuries. Due to the number of patients an Eastham ambulance was requested to the respond to the location but was not needed due to the additional staffing of a third Brewster ambulance by off-duty personnel. All Brewster units were placed back in service by 8:45 a.m.

Both crashes are under investigation by Brewster Police.
