HARWICH – At approximately 2:15 PM, Harwich Fire- Rescue and Police were dispatched to a motor vehicle accident at Route 124 and Main Street in Harwich Center. A four-vehicle rear end collision involving A GMC Sierra pickup, Ford Fusion sedan, Chrysler Town & Country minivan and a Ford F-350 pickup with numerous parties involved, all whom had self extricated.
A Harwich Fire Ambulance transported one driver to the hospital and Medics evaluated a number of others, all whom refused further treatment or transport.
Firefighters handled a small fluid spill and otherwise checked all the vehicles for safety. Both lanes of Route 124 were blocked between Main Street and Old Colony Road until the scene could be cleared. Harwich Police are in charge of the investigation.
