Fourth of July arrest activity in Wareham

WAREHAM – From Wareham Police:Wednesday July 3, 2019

Shawna Costa

5:52 a.m. – Shawna Costa, 29, of Onset, was arrested by Officer Robert McLain and Sergeant Daniel Henderson. She was placed in custody at her home based on an active warrant from Barnstable Court.

Kolleen Dossantos

3:38 p.m.- Kolleen Dossantos, 33, of Johnston, Rhode Island, was placed in custody at the Wareham District Court after spitting and kicking two paramedics there. When Officer Charles Pillsbury arrived she resisted arrest violently. At the station she continued her tirade hurling insults at Officer Jennifer Braley and Sergeant Paul Somers. She refused to be cooperative and had to be carried to cell by the two officers assisted by Lieutenant Peter Flannery. Before the cell door was closed she managed to kick Officer Braley. She is charged with, 2 counts of assault and battery on a paramedic, disorderly conduct, disturbing the peace, assault and battery on a police officer, and resisting arrest.

Thursday July 4,

4:30 p.m. – Four males were placed under arrest after a large disturbance with reports of a firearm involved in the Swifts Beach area. A BB gun was located and the scene was secured by Wareham officers assisted by the Marion police. Because of the nature of the incident and changes in Massachusetts laws there will no further commentary on this situation.

Kevin Curtin

7:15 p.m. – Department of Natural Resources Officer Joshua Kimball arrested Kevin Curtin, 34, of Plymouth, following a disturbance on Onset Beach. While being processed at the station Mr. Curtin became combative struggling with Officers Stephen Harrison and Calib Larue. While being placed in a cell he violently kicked Officer Larue causing a minor injury. He is being charged with disorderly conduct, disturbing the peace, unlawful possession of fireworks, and assault and battery with a deadly weapon.

Friday July 5,

Richard Bousfield

6:45 a.m. – Richard Bousfield, 54, of Wareham was arrested in the lobby of the police station by Officers Jennifer Braley and Garrett Smith. He was charged with being a sex offender failing to register.

Michael Pina

4:00 p.m. – Michael Pina, 34, of no certain address, was arrested by Officer Eric Machado on South Boulevard for an active warrant.

Marie Quinn

8:45 p.m. – Marie Quinn,66, of Wareham, was arrested by Officers Charles Pillsbury and Eric Machado, charged with operating under the influence of liquor, possession of a Class “E” substance operating to endanger, and marked lanes violation. Ms. Quinn was taken into custody after a motor vehicle accident on Minot Avenue, in which a motorcycle was struck and officers believed her to be impaired. Just prior to the accident a witness reported her vehicle being unable to maintain a lane and observed it almost strike another vehicle head on. When being processed at the police station, Sergeant Kevin Reilly located multiple pills in an unmarked bottle in Ms. Quinn’s possession.

9:21 p.m.- Officer Jennifer Braley is summoning Taylor Donovan, 24, of West Barnstable, for operating under the influence of drugs, and negligent operation of a motor vehicle after responding to a car accident at the Cranberry Plaza. Upon arrival officers located a female that was unresponsive in the vehicle and took life saving measures to revive the individual. With the assistance of Officer Lorenzo Grosso and Lieutenant Peter Flannery, Ms. Donovan was removed from the car and transported to Tobey Hospital. A small amount of suspected heroin was seized from the vehicle.

Saturday July 6,

Austin Gaboury

12:30 a.m. – Austin Gaboury, 23, of East Falmouth, was arrested by Officer Calib Larue for operating after suspension of his driver’s license and speeding. The arrest occurred after a motor vehicle stop on Glen Charlie Road.

Danielle Phinney

4:15 a.m. – Danielle Phinney, 34, of East Wareham, was arrested by Officers Larue and Matthew Donovan for disorderly conduct and disturbing the peace. The arrest occurred on Park Avenue in East Wareham as the result of a disturbance call.

David Ewan Jr.

7:00 a.m. – David Ewan Jr., 28, of Wareham, was arrested by Officer Larue for unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, and speeding following a motor vehicle stop on Cranberry Highway.

Casey Gentry

2:45 p.m. – Casey Gentry, 35, of Rochester, was arrested by Officer Jon Verhaegen on Cranberry Highway for an active warrant.

Angie Damiano

10:15 p.m. – Angie Damiano, 39, of Onset, was arrested by Officer Charles Pillsbury, charged with disturbing the peace on 12th Street following a disturbance. During the incident she was causing a commotion and pleaded loudly with Officer Pillsbury to be arrested.

Sunday July 7,

Jeremiah Rodgers

1:15 a.m. – Jeremiah Rodgers, 36, of Assonet, was arrested by Officer Ryan Gomes and Sergeant Daniel Henderson for vandalizing property.

It was reported that he punched and shattered a window at Stephen’s Lounge in Onset Center.

After vandalizing the window the male fled the scene, however was later located on Main Avenue by Sergeant Henderson and placed in custody.

7:00 p.m. – An 18 year old resident of Wareham, was arrested for disorderly conduct and disturbing the peace after a fight call in Onset. A 17 year old female was also placed in custody at that scene. The arrests were made by members of the detective division. The two individuals were ordered to stop but continued to actively fight and were subsequently arrested.

During this time frame other arrests were made, however law changes shield them from public disclosure.
