BOURNE – Two lanes on Route 25 in Bourne just beyond the Bourne Bridge were closed Wednesday afternoon as crews cleaned up a fuel spill around 1:45 PM.
State Police at the Bourne barracks said the center and right lanes were blocked just before Exit 3 as response teams mopped up from the spill.
It began when a tractor trailer lost a fuel tank after coming over the bridge. About 50 gallons of diesel spilled onto the roadway and down an embankment.
The eastbound lanes of Route 25 were not impacted.
All lanes were reopened once the scene was cleaned up.
