Fund set up for family of Barnstable Sgt. Jason Sturgis as police invite public to pay respects along route

HYANNIS – The Barnstable Police Department has been humbled by the outpouring of support for Sergeant Jason Sturgis and his family. Sergeant Sturgis was married with three young children at the time of his sudden and unexpected passing. We have had several phone calls and visitors to the department asking how they can help the Sturgis family financially. A fund has been set up through the Barnstable Police Association to assist the Sturgis Family.

For anyone that is wishing to donate to the Sturgis Family Fund please make checks payable to “BPA – Sturgis Family Fund” and utilize any of the following methods:

• Visit any local Rockland Trust branch and make a deposit into the account titled “Barnstable Police Association – Sturgis Family Fund”

• Mail the donation to the following address: Barnstable Police Association, PO Box 241 Hyannis, MA 02601

• Drop off the donation at the Barnstable Police Department

You can also donate online through Paypal (CWN is working to get a proper url)
