HYANNIS – A funeral mass was held on Friday at Our Lady of Victory Church in Cemetary for Hyannis Fire Department Lieutenant Richard A. “Rick” Knowlton (ret.).
Lt. Knowlton lost a courageous battle with occupational cancer on August 4th. He served for 32 years on the Hyannis Fire Department.
Many fellow firefighters turned out for the service. Firefighters from other towns covered the Hyannis station so his “brother” firefighters could pay their respects. Burial followed in the Mosswood Cemetery Columbarium in Cotuit.
