MONUMENT BEACH – Firefighters rushed to 310 Shore Road in the Monument Beach section of Bourne around 2 PM Saturday afternoon. Initial reports were of an explosion and possible extension to the house. Crews determined the fire was contained to the propane tank which was cooled to extinguish the fire. A small section of the deck was scorched as well. No injuries were reported. The cause of the incident is under investigation. Further details were not immediately available.
