HYANNIS – Several days of bitter cold temperatures are having on impact on ferry travel between Hyannis and Nantucket.
The Steamship Authority has cancelled all remaining trips on their high speed vessel Iyanough. The regular schedule will resume in April.
All other conventional ferry service to Nantucket remains on schedule.
The Hy-Line, which only runs high speed ferries, cancelled all service between Nantucket and Hyannis Monday, also due to ice conditions in the harbors.
The temperature was only expected to reach 15 degrees, with wind chills around minus-17.
