VENICE, FL – A Harwich native was killed in a car vs bicycle crash in Venice, FL on October 30th. William “Jack” Harrison, 68, was one of four bicyclists struck by an elderly woman on Center Road. The Florida Highway Patrol report says the bicyclists turned left into the path of the driver, identified as 91-year-old Marion Kahler. Several medical helicopters rushed the victims to Sarasota Memorial Hospital. Harrison later succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.
