HARWICH – Harwich Police report that on Friday afternoon March 22, 2019 the Harwich Police School Resource Officer was made aware of a situation involving threats made to students taking part in a private social media group chat. The incident was immediately investigated by the Harwich Police in collaboration with Monomoy school administrators. The investigation resulted in the arrest of a 15-year-old Monomoy student on charges of disruption of a school by communicating threats. At this point there is no indication that the threats were credible or that any students or staff were at risk.
