Head-on crash in Sandwich injures three, two seriously


SANDWICH
– At approximately 1:50 PM Monday, Sandwich Police responded to a head-on crash at the intersection of Farmersville and Stowe Roads involving three vehicles.

Vehicle one was traveling south on Farmersville Road and stopped to make a left turn onto Stowe Road. The operator of vehicle one was a 27-year-old female. She was not injured.

Vehicle two operated by a 33-year-old male from West Yarmouth, was also traveling south on Farmersville Road and did not see vehicle one stopped in traffic. He swerved into oncoming traffic colliding head on with a third vehicle traveling north on Farmersville Road. He was transported to South Shore Hospital with serious injuries.

Vehicle three was operated by a 59-year-old female from Marston Mills. She was transported to Cape Cod Hospital also with serious injuries.

Farmersville Road was closed until approximately 4:00 PM

The crash is being investigated by Officer Bondarek of the Sandwich Police Department with the assistance of the Barnstable County Sheriff’s Office and the Cape Cod Regional Law Enforcement Council Crash Reconstruction Team.
