WEST YARMOUTH – At about 3:15 p.m. Tuesday afternoon there was a house fire at 36 Wimbledon Drive off Route 28 in West Yarmouth. The fire reportedly originated in a pot left on the stove. The fire extended to the cabinets above and there was smoke damage to the entire home. Hyannis firefighters assisted at the scene. No one was at home at the time of the fire.
