VIDEO: Jaws of Life used to free driver at Harwich crash


HARWICH – Harwich Fire-Rescue and Police were dispatched to a 2 car MVC at Route 137 and Cemetery Road in East Harwich around 3:00 PM on Wednesday.

The driver of a truck towing a trailer who had self-extricated and was reported to be uninjured.

The driver of a Toyota Yaris was entrapped and needed to be extricated requiring the use of two hydraulic rescue tools a spreader and a cutter. 

The patient was treated by Medics and transported to Cape Cod Hospital with possibly serious but apparently non-life threatening injuries.

The road was blocked in both directions while the scene was worked and the vehicles could be removed. Harwich Police are investigating.
