Kingston man facing OUI charge after Wareham crash


WAREHAM
– On Thursday, Wareham Police, Onset Fire and Wareham EMS responded to the area of Cranberry Highway and Red Brook Road for a motor vehicle accident with injuries and entrapment.  Upon arrival, officers located a vehicle on its roof with two occupants still inside the car. Onset Fire personnel arrived and extricated both parties, who were transported to Tobey Hospital with minor injuries.

As a result of an investigation, it was determined that the vehicle had left an establishment in Bourne. and traveled westbound on Cranberry Highway into Wareham. The vehicle was traveling at a high rate of speed and began sliding, striking boulders on the side of the road, then flipping three times before coming to rest on the side of the road. Multiple empty beer cans were located in the vehicle, and the operator reportedly exhibited signs of intoxication. The driver, Brian Cluff, 34, of Kingston, MA was summons to appear in court on charges of operating under the influence of liquor, operating negligently to endanger, marked lanes violation, and speeding.
