ONSET
– A three-alarm fire tore through several buildings in the Onset section of Wareham sometime after 3 PM Thursday afternoon. Firefighters from Bourne also responded to the scene on Bedard Road off Onset Avenue. At least two houses were heavily involved and a third damaged. The fire was in a remote area on a marsh and an area of brush was also on fire prompting a call for brush breakers to respond also. A Wareham DNR marine unit also fought the flames from the water.
